Not such a normal week
@ 2007-07-23 – 13:26:42
Well things are definately not normal in my life. The things that happen to me and my hubby, are so extreme, they don't seem to happen to other people.
Take this past week for example, our business premises, were flooded. Our daughter has been moved to an open prison, and my husband narrowly escaped series injury,by standing on a live scorpian, whilst walking barefoot in the bathroom. "Lucky that" ,he said, good job I stood on its tail,as opposed to it's head",fortunately, for him the scorpian did not get a chance to swing round, and sting him, with its painful venum, that scorpians are well known for.
"That was lucky" , he said", "it must have been the lucky geko, I saw upstairs on the wall last night,it must have been watching over me."( a geko been a small lizard , who apparantley brought you luck should you be fortunate enough to see one crawling all over your walls)
Fantastic I thought, whist thinking of how circumstances could certainly have been difeent, what if the scorpian , had suceeded with its evil sting!! Hubby would have had to spend the day in hospital, but even more scary, would be that I would have had to drive him there.
Now scorpians I can deal with (sort of), but driving specially in Spain is definately a no no. Even worse, me having to explain , to the doctors what happened, (Should I ever have managed to get him there in the first place)Despite living in Spain for over 3 years, my grasp of the Spansh language, has stillgot no further than Sylviasinging Viva Espania, or that spanish song on Christina Aguilers albulm stripped.
